Week 3

Can you believe it? That is the end of week 3! I feel like I can officially say the weeks are flying by. I now have less than 2 months before I can spend some money on clothes again!

But to be completely honest, I’m not even that excited. I’ve been finding this so much easier than I ever thought I would. Maybe it’s because I’m a poor student and it’s given me a better excuse than the same old, “I only have £3.79 in my account”, or maybe it’s because I have finally broken out of the trance that fast fashion companies had me under.

I think I’ve finally realised that I just don’t NEED it.

Day 1

White shirt / Denim Bootcut Jeans

For some reason, I fell into an accidental theme this week with all of my clothes either being blue or white. I don’t know how it happened, but I’ve since found out I just own a lot of blue and white clothes.

I paired my ever controversial bootcut jeans (s/o to Hannah and Allie) with my cropped white shirt. This shirt is actually petite, which I am not, but it just gives it a little bit more of a cropped effect which works well with the jeans.

Day 2

White Jumper / Denim Bootcut Jeans

Again with the jeans, but this time with a previous feature, my white flare sleeved jumper.

I paired this with my hair tie, a favourite of mine, clearly, as I have it in two colours.

Day 3

White Jumper / Patterned Midi Skirt

This skirt is a favourite of mine. My sister actually bought this outfit for me for my birthday last year from H&M. Midi skirts are something I got very into at the end of last year and I am so glad. I will never look back.

Day 4

Lace Effect Top / Patterned Skirt

I paired my skirt with a top that is actually my sisters but I borrowed it (with no intention of giving it back). It’s a really simple top that you can pair with pretty much anything, but again, I think that goes for most white tops.

Day 5

Lace Effect Top / Culotte Style Dungarees

So this is another controversial clothing item I own. My black culotte style dungarees. I can see why, just by reading that small description but honestly, the hate is misplaced.

I wore these religiously about 2 years ago and I honestly don’t remember why I stopped. It may or may not have had something to do with the weather and my bare shins.

End of week 3

Week 3 is over. It’s so crazy how fast this is going. I’ve written down something’s I’ve discovered from this week.

Wear what you want to wear

Don’t let anyone make you feel like you can’t wear something. You wear it and wear it better than they ever would.

Time saver

Picking out outfits a week in advance is actually a massive time saver. I kind of knew this from weeks 1 and 2 but I’ve been so busy this week that I wholeheartedly belief this challenge saved my life (in terms of running late).

Accidental themes

You will find a lot of matching clothes, whether you think you own them or not. My clothes have surprised me so many times over the duration of these 3 weeks and I don’t think it is going to stop there.
